We love to build websites and are proud of the sites we build! Here’s a look at some of our customers’ sites:
In the third largest Amish settlement in the United States, tucked away on a back road near Shipshewana, Indiana, you’ll find a great little leather workshop called Silver Star Leather. The owner, Loren Yoder, started out by making bridles and gear for the local Amish community. He moved on to belts and wallets, and after a spell his wife, Dorcas, got into the game by designing her own line of luxurious purses and handbags. Recently they built a new storefront where you can watch Loren and his crew as they create a myriad of quality leather goods from plain old cowhide and an array of exotic hides like elephant, alligator, sting ray, and even frog! Visit their website to learn more.
Fortune Cookie is a great idea for anyone looking for ways to help their children save for the future! Following their monthly cooking-making plans, small business owners are able to pay their children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews an income, and then deposit that earned income into a Roth IRA account, which can help save for retirement, purchase a first home, or pay for educational expenses.
Freedom Finish Works, formerly Freedom Metal Works, is a powder coating company based in Topeka, Indiana. They electronically apply a powder coat to metal products and then cure the coating at high heat to form a coating that is thicker and more durable than traditional paint products. Their 40,000-square-foot facility allows them to do everything from very small parts to large stairways, and are able to coat items manually or on an automated conveyor line system. We provided photographic services for this site in addition to building the website.
In rural areas many of the backroads are narrow with little or no shoulder, which can be dangerous for pedestrians and bicyclists. A group of concerned citizens began exploring the idea of using an abandoned railway to join the communities of Millersburg, Topeka, and Wolcottville. The project is similar to the Pumpkinvine Trail, which joins the communities of Elkhart, Goshen, Middlebury, and Shipshewana. It’s a much safer alternative for hiking and biking and will provide a fun, healthy nature trail for families and individuals who want to experience the outdoors. We’re very excited to be a part of this project!
We built the first website in 2011, and redesigned the site in 2019. Amish Workshops is primarily an e-commerce site selling small Amish-made crafts, but it is also filled with stories about Amish life, Amish recipes, and photographs by our photographer, Keith James, depicting the Amish way of life.
After redesigning the JO Mory website in 2018, we were given the opportunity to retool the Mory Metal Fabrication website as well. In addition to building the new website, we also provided photographic services for the project. This was great fun for our photographer, Keith James, who said, “…getting the opportunity to spend hours taking pictures in a fab shop with welders, grinders, and the plasma arc table was so fun, a living light show!” The end result is a fun website that feels like a metal fabrication shop: a little dark and gritty, but filled with streaks of sparks and molten metal.
We built the first website for the Italian Pottery Outlet in 1998. Over the years we have redesigned this busy ecommerce site to keep up with changing times, and the most recent update came in early 2019. With more than 2,000 products available in nearly 150 different categories, the site is complex. In the most recent update we addressed the issue of how smart phones have changed ecommerce sales. Simplifying the menuing so the site was more easily navigated was our #1 concern. We moved most of the non-sales links to the site’s footer, and eliminated complex product sub-menus, choosing instead to have users drill down to various product categories.
Bill Miller pours a LOT of concrete. How much? In 2018 alone he poured more than 1.7 million square feet, which is about 39 acres! He and his wife formed WM Miller Concrete Contractors in 2013, and before that he worked with his dad and brothers in the industry. WM Miller specializes in slab-on-grade floors and mezzanines, parking lots and driveways, laser screeding and finishing, sidewalks and curbs, and foundation work. Based in Shipshewana, Indiana, his company serves as a subcontractor across northeast Indiana and southwest Michigan.
LC Covers LLC has served the boating community in northeast Indiana since 2001. Recently they added a subsidiary, BOAT•A•MAN, which manufactures boating comfort accessories including foot stools, cup holders & armrests, bolsters & pillows, and bags & totes, and cooler cushion covers for pontoons, sailboats, and other pleasure crafts. We built them a new website and took care of all the product photography. BOAT•A•MAN is a manufacturer that sells its products through dealers and distributors, so we used WooCommerce to display the products but disabled pricing and the shopping cart.
Since 1892 J.O. Mory has served the needs of homes and businesses in the northeast Indiana area. They specialize in electrical work, plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC installation and service, and even have their own metal fabrication division. It was an honor for us to work with their marketing and management team to tell the story of their business, and we provided photographic services for the website as well.
TheFarmLawyer.com (Schwarz Law Office)
John Schwarz is an Indiana attorney, licensed in both Indiana and Michigan, who focuses on legal issues faced by farmers and rural clientele including estate planning, farm and grain contracts, agricultural law, USDA and FSA issues, and federal crop insurance. Our goal was to create a site that communicated in a way that his potential clients would understand and relate to.
Eubanks is a manufacturer of wire processing equipment. We took over maintenance of Eubanks’ existing website in 2003, and redesigned their site in 2018. With a wide variety of complex product offerings, our goal was to simplify the navigation process so customers could more easily find the products and information they are searching for. Also important was giving good representation to their vast web of national and international distributors. The result is a clean, visually pleasing website that has opened up new sales leads for Eubanks.
Recently we had the pleasure of redesigning the website for this Ventura County, California-based tree service. In a highly competitive local market, we focused on search optimization, doing our best to include searchable terms related to the services they offer, as well as the names of local cities. Dynamic imagery, cool layout features, and useful information combine to make this site a definite contender for local business.
Partners Brand Seed, located in northeast Indiana, is a division of Lord’s Seed, which produces approximately 2% of the world’s seed corn. Partners Brand produces the retail side of seed which includes high-oil corn and soybeans. Through management of their website we’ve learned that there’s a whole lot more to corn and soybeans than meets the eye. With dozens of varieties and traits to choose from, it’s important to share their product information with seed distributors and growers in the most clean and simple way possible.
Located just 30 minutes from New York City, the Dorian Agency serves thousands of customers in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, and Rhode Island.
Best Forage is a family-owned and operated business, 5th and 6th-generation dairy farmers. Their business model is unique because of their hands-on experience growing products not only for their customers, but also for their own herds. The Best Forage website utilizes ecommerce, and presented a challenge because many of their seed and forage products are sold in large quantities, sometimes by the bag and sometimes by the pound, and in many cases delivered by freight rather than traditional shipping methods.
Long before we started working for BPC Pest Control we used their services, twice! So when they came to us to rebuild their website we were more than happy to help because we knew they are a great company to work with. Recently we redesigned their site for the second time, and this time they also enlisted us to take care of the photography as well. If you’re looking for a pest control company in Ventura, Santa Barbara, or western Los Angeles counties, give them a call, you’ll be glad you did!
SurvivorshipLife.com is a subsidiary of J.A. Orefice & Company, an insurance brokerage located in Westlake Village, California. The site is geared toward senior citizens interested in selling their life insurance policies to solve financial issues. Our goal was to create a site that is easily navigable, and to take a complicated subject and make it easy to understand.
RWR Cleaning & Restoration is a family-owned and operated business with offices in northeast Indiana and central Illinois. Our goal was to reach audiences in both locations and make visitors aware of the various services offered including residential and commercial floor cleaning, duct cleaning, water damage cleanup, and mold remediation.
This is an ecommerce website with a twist: Arte D’Italia is a direct importer and wholesaler of fine Italian ceramics; visitors can see the products available on this website, but they cannot see pricing or place orders unless they are an approved customer, preventing the general population from seeing wholesale prices.
